2009 Tour Information
The 2009 Draft UK Tour Calendar is not yet available, but teams old and new are already expressing interest in taking part at an Event next year. More schools wanted to enter in 2008 than there were places to hold them so DO get in touch with the people above for more information about entry in 2009, preferably by June/July 2008.

For new teams in particular - GOOD LUCK! Entering a team and holding them together until you get them to a Rock Challenge® Event is a magnificent achievement ... everything else that might follow is all a bonus.
8 minutes of fame
Each school entering the Rock Challenge® creates an eight-minute dance-drama based performance on a theme of their choice creating the set, props, costumes, hair and make-up, lighting, choreography, drama, and soundtrack that they want to use to put their theme across.

The climax of their involvement comes at an event day in a professional venue full of fun and rehearsals culminating in a spellbinding evening performance in front of a packed audience of family members, peers, VIPs, and a panel of judges.

Awards are given out at the end of the show including the top-scoring schools announced with, in most cases, the top school winning through to the regional final.
School pride, team work and unity
Hundreds of schools and tens of thousands of students compete in Rock Challenge® and Junior Rock Challenge® shows across the UK.

The benefits of a school?s involvement in the Rock Challenge® for itself and its young people are numerous.

Many schools report a greater sense of pride, team work and unity from the experience as teachers and students work together.

Research shows that Rock Challenge® can also help reduce truancy rates as students are encouraged to participate in something fun while learning new skills.

The program also encourages community links and builds teacher-student relations, increases self-esteem, provides curriculum links and makes school more enjoyable for all.

Rock Challenge® is universally inclusive with schools and colleges from all backgrounds taking part - such as junior schools, middle schools, colleges, schools catering for students with special needs, independent schools; the Rock Challenge® welcomes any school who wants to be involved.

The Rock Challenge® is a memorable and life-changing event for schools, teachers, communities and young people alike.
100% Drug-Free Experience
While the result is a professional event staged in some of the UK?s top venues, the main aim of the Rock Challenge® is to encourage participants to have fun while enjoying a 100% drug-free experience.
