    THEMES

    MILLAIS SCHOOL, Horsham, West Sussex
    "I stand out..."

I stand out for the wrong reason. For as long as I can remember I have suffered with some form of twitch. A motor tic they call it. I have lived with this all my life, it follows me everywhere, comes out when I'm nervous and stressed. I can't live a normal life, I'm labelled, I'm different, I stand out.

OATHALL COMMUNITY COLLEGE, Haywards Heath, West Sussex
"Give me a second chance....Just to Dance!"

When someone abuses drugs, everyone is affected. Depending on the severity of the addiction, they may steal, act strange and spend days living on the street. The only thing that is important is how they will get their next high. There may be conflicts of how to treat this individual. We find freedom through a drug rehabilitation centre.

ORIEL HIGH SCHOOL, Crawley, West Sussex
    "Enchanted Deceptions"

Once upon a time, in a land not far from home, not all was quite as it seem. On the outside everything seemed to be well and happy, but perception can be wrong.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II SILVER JUBILEE SCHOOL, Horsham, West Sussex
    "The Dream Factory"

Welcome to the QEII Dream Factory where dreams are studied, where dreams are made and where some dreams come true. Scientists have proof that we all dream every night. Sometimes we remember our dreams, others remain in our sub-conscious. Through movement and dance the QEII students have explored this fascinating world of dreams.

ST PAUL'S CATHOLIC COLLEGE, Burgess Hill, West Sussex
    "The Last Post"

Last Post by Carol Ann Duffy
If poetry could tell it backwards, true, begin
that moment shrapnel scythed you to the stinking mud...
but you get up, amazed, watch bled bad blood
run upwards from the slime into its wounds
see lines and lines of British boys rewind

TANBRIDGE HOUSE SCHOOL, Horsham, West Sussex
    "Orphan Train to Home"

In the mid 1920's, Edna Gladney discovers by chance how the law treats children who are without parents. Before her campaign, abandoned children would be left on platforms for the locals to pick from. Our piece explores Edna's journey as she struggles tirelessly against the Texas state senate to bring hope, dignity, identity and homes to thousands of unwanted orphans.

THE FOREST SCHOOL, Horsham, West Sussex
    "Ethnic Majority"

Join us as we take you on a whistle stop tour of multi-cultural London from Brixton to the South Bank: dance brings us together.

THE HOLY TRINITY C OF E SCHOOL, Crawley, West Sussex
    "Come Fly With Me"

Inspired by being stranded at the airport at Christmas and desperately seeking a way to get home, this show is about all the different people who are travelling through the airport trying to get home.
