    2011 BELFAST RESULTS

    THEMES

    ASHFIELD GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL, Belfast
    "Live, Laugh, Love!"

Our performance celebrates the reopening of the Lyric Theatre, Belfast and the magical world of theatres everywhere - not just on stage but also the laughter and romance in the stalls. Theatre has been called "the home of miracles and epiphanies" so suspend your disbelief and join us in the magical world of theatre where laughter and love live on.

BELFAST MODEL SCHOOL FOR GIRLS, Belfast
    "HEROES"

This performance is very different to our previous entries. Our focus this year has been on supporting pupils who experience difficulties in school. Our theme reflects this and celebrates those people in society who help others. The carers, the peacekeepers, the protectors, and the lifesavers! These people sacrifice their lives for us everyday... so let's be proud of our heroes.

    CAMBRIDGE HOUSE GRAMMAR SCHOOL, Belfast
    "All the world's a stage"

      All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances
And one man in his time plays many parts,
      His acts being seven ages.
Our Dance Drama explores Shakespeare's concept of life's stages. Watch as the mysterious character ‘Puk' takes ‘Judith' and ‘Hamnet' on a journey through life's seven stages.

    LITTLE FLOWER GIRLS' SCHOOL, Ballymena

    NEWTOWNBREDA HIGH SCHOOL, Belfast
    "Celebrate Cultural Diversity!"

Starting in the classroom, we will journey to Africa where we will explore the ethnic origins of African tribal dance. We then travel to the streets of New York where you will experience the popular styles of hip-hop dance. After visiting traditional China, join Newtownbreda High School as we celebrate the cultural diversity of our students within the school community.

ST LOUISE'S COMPREHENSIVE, SPECIALIST ARTS COLLEGE, Belfast
    "Raising Titanic"

We will raise Titanic. Her centennial within sight, the Ghosts of Titanic emerge from under the waves. Imagery from the deep, spirits of the lost, but not forgotten, merge with memories of failed rescue. Their spirits journey with the ocean, their souls travelling onwards. It is with our hearts we call her home.
