    THEMES

BAY HOUSE SCHOOL AND SIXTH FORM, Gosport, Hampshire
    "The Attic"

In their Grandmother's dark attic, two siblings discover a photo album full of their Grandmother’s memories. As the attic comes to life with the memories, a cluster of spiders, intent on ruling the attic, steal the photo album. Our story explores the children experiencing important moments in their grandparents' lives, working together (with some help) to rescue the photo album!

CITY OF PORTSMOUTH GIRLS' SCHOOL, Portsmouth, Hampshire
    "Behind The Glamour"

As a girls' school we know, and experience first-hand, the pressure put upon young people by the media and fashion industry. Here we explore one girl's struggle and the lengths she goes to, to reach the glamorous ideal many youngsters crave. Is it really worth the pain and rejection, or are we perfect just the way we are?

    HEADINGTON SCHOOL, Oxford, Oxfordshire
    "Stolen Innocence"

Every year thousands of children are forcibly recruited into the armed forces of countries enduring warfare. Guerrilla bands enter remote villages to capture children and force them to undergo brutal indoctrination such as watching their relatives being tortured. Thus, orphaned and brutalised, these children are then taken to nearby villages to repeat the exercise. Here is their story...

    KING RICHARD SCHOOL, Portsmouth, Hampshire
    "The price of progress?"

      Imagine an idyllic existence.
People and planet in perfect harmony.
A symbiotic union where everybody coexists in peace and tranquillity.
Now imagine it shattered, destroyed, razed to the ground,
all in the name of progress.
      The price?
      Execution .... Extinction .... Exclusion ....

LADY MARGARET SCHOOL FOR GIRLS, London
    "Now Generation"

The internet has created a virtual reality for millions of users, making it possible for young people to live their lives from their sofas. We wanted to explore the idea of social cliques and social networks. Charlotte is one of the many teenagers struggling to find her path to happiness and acceptance. This is her journey…We are the now generation.

    MARY ROSE SCHOOL, Portsmouth, Hampshire
    "Lifes Journey"

We cannot stop time, it passes quickly. Our lives constantly present us with new challenges and opportunities through which we can all grow and become stronger. Join us through the seasons of the year to experience 'Life's Journey'.

MAYFIELD C OF E MIDDLE SCHOOL, Ryde, Isle of Wight
    "The End"

It's the end of the line, the end of time. Broken hearts, mended hearts, happy ever after endings. War and peace both come to an end- as does life. Let's end it, find an answer to all that's bad- is it found at the end of the rainbow? For Mayfield it's the end as one door closes does another open?

    MAYFIELD SCHOOL, Portsmouth, Hampshire
    "The Lost Generation"

Some of us are lucky enough to be raised in loving families with guidance from caring adults. Countless children survive in a feral world with nothing but their own courage to call on. Vulnerable and easy prey, they can be tempted by fairy tales told by evil adults who lead them into the murky underworld. Can society save them?
